Malaysia Airlines, Show Me The Real Fare (Part 3)!

‘More reasons to take a break’ is a tagline for the latest blue advert (Malaysia Airlines’) as their Low Fare promotion went as low as RM0 for selected destinations. As usual, I’m here to give you the real/actual fare for selected destinations advertised by Malaysia Airlines in local newspaper for yesterday and today.

The real/actual fares below were obtained from Malaysia Airlines website with the following search criteria:

  • Fly From Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) only
  • 1 adult guest only
  • One way trip only
  • Promotional fares are for Economy class only

Could not believe big corporations nowadays also engage in such deceptive practice. Although it does not constitute misrepresentation but for a responsible corporation they should display their fare in an unambiguous way just like you do. Great job, Roslan.

It is sad, the big boys are stooping as low as the budget carriers like Tiger and Air Asia.

no lah, MAS is urging our government to change this kind of ads practice already what.. they requested to put in the actual fares in advertisement. I suspect they learnt this from Roslan haha.. i think its only right and about time because as our national carrier they should take the lead so we can see the real fare. but i just wonder budget carriers won’t agree with this kind of practice coz there will be no way for them to see their cheap price anymore..
