What will happen when the great earth-viewing application meets the best mobile phone on the planet? You get the whole world in your palm! Or so they said. If you’re still in the dark of what I am talking about, it’s Google Earth - your favorite Google application, is now available for iphone! iphone users can now download Google Earth for free from iTunes or AppStore. They can enjoy the same features and benefits available in Google Earth for Desktop version. And it also integrates well with iphone device and platform, especially it’s touch interface where you can swipe your finger across iphone wide screen to see the other side of the globe.
Google Earth will add to the number of other Google applications or web services that is already available in iphone like Gmail and YouTube. I believe Google will continue the trend by adding more applications for iphone in the future. Ironically, even it’s own Android T-Mobile G1 mobile phone don’t have Google Earth pre-installed with. At least not for now. Personally, I would like to see Google Calendar, Feedburner, Adsense and Analytics to be the next application available for iphone. It would be very helpful for all bloggers.
